David Earl Loveland, Jr., affectionately known as "Dave Bunk," passed away tragically on June 30, 2026, at the age of 53, following a motor vehicle accident in Pocomoke City.
Born on December 30, 1972, in Crisfield, Maryland, he was the beloved son of David Earl Loveland, Sr. and Barbara Jean "Jeannie" Johnson Loveland.
A proud graduate of Crisfield High School Class of 1990, David embraced life as a skilled carpenter and also worked as a waterman. His warm personality and genuine kindness allowed him to connect effortlessly with everyone he met, leading to countless friendships and professional relationships throughout his life. He had a passion for cooking, tended to beautiful gardens, and possessed an innate ability to fix just about anything. He was a faithful member of Living Hope Church of God.
David is survived by his devoted parents, David and Barbara Jean "Jeannie" Loveland; his three beloved children, Cameron Cullen and his significant other, Courtney Willing, Samantha Simpson and her husband, Tristan, and Morgan Loveland; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Cody Cullen, Isla Eskridge, and Arlo Simpson. He will also be remembered by his two sisters, Donna Brumwell and her husband, Chris, and Betsy Matthews and her husband, Don; alongside his aunts and uncles, Violet and Troy Fooks, Eddie and Nancy Johnson, Cathy Guillen, Mark Loveland, Sammy Loveland, and Gail Quillen. He leaves behind his nieces and nephew, Danielle Waite, Sarah Matthews, and Paul Matthews, along with many loving cousins. David is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Sarah and Buster Johnson and George and Jeanette Loveland.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Franny Carson who provided life saving CPR on David which allowed them seven more precious years with him.
Funeral services officiated by Pastor LeBron Palmer will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 11 AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at St. Paul's Cemetery in Marion Station.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Living Hope Church of God, Hohman Center Food Pantry, 27331 Crisfield Marion Road, Marion Station, MD 21838, in honor of David's kind spirit and generous heart.
