David R. Jones, 55, of Crisfield, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born in Crisfield March 7, 1961, he was the son of Sharon Rose Schultz Jones of Crisfield and the late Ralph Burney Jones.
He was a member of Pure Word Bible Church in Princess Anne and was the owner of David Jones & Son Construction in Crisfield for 15 years. He was very passionate about his work and was the best at what he did.
He was a "die hard" Redskins fan who enjoyed playing in the Horseshoe Club with his friends, spending time in his man cave "Dave's Inn", watching old Westerns on TV, and faithfully following the local weather. Most of all he adored and loved his family. He was happiest at home having cookouts and being with his children and grandchildren.
Along with his mother he is survived by his loving wife of almost 38 years, Lori Lynne Carman Jones; four children, Erica Todd and her boyfriend Greg Whitley of Shelltown, David Lee Jones and his girlfriend Jennifer Townsend of Crisfield, Carman Thomas and her husband Brandon of Crisfield, and Robin Jones of Crisfield; three sisters, Debbie Bradshaw and husband Slick of Kingston, Tina Butler and husband Mike of Marion, and Tara Jones and her boyfriend Robbie Gunter of Marion; grandchildren, Will Todd, Amaya Todd, Madison Jones, Eli Whitley, Sophie Jones, Owen Green and Emma Whitley; many nieces and nephews; a host of special friends; and his faithful pet lab of nine years, "Joseph Gibbs".
Along with his father he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Donnie Jones.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 3 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a visitation will be one hour prior. Pastor Dave Diskin will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations to help the family with final expenses may be made to Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home, 306 W. Main Street, Crisfield, MD 21817 or to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802-1733.
