David William Ellis Abbott, 56, of Crisfield, died Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Salisbury Genesis Rehab and Nursing Center.

Born in Crisfield January 4, 1965, he was a son of the late Harold Frederick and Jessie Mae Rich Abbott.  He was a graduate of Crisfield High School and was a self-employed mechanic.

He enjoyed attending Somerset Free Methodist Church, US 13 Dragway racing, fishing, and eating.

He is survived by two brothers, Kenneth James Abbott of Smyrna, DE and Richard Raymond Abbott, Sr. and wife Linda of Crisfield; nieces and nephews, Richard Raymond Abbott, Jr. and Jennifer Louise Sterling and husband Darrell, all of Crisfield, Crystal Lynn McCabe and husband Leon of Seaford, DE and Ashley Abbott of Laurel, DE; great-nieces and great-nephews, Damon and Jenson Sterling, Taylor and Caleb Downes, Emily Smith, Kaiden Abbott, and Madelyn Valdes; aunt, Joyce Blades of Baltimore; and cousins, Janice Blades of Baltimore and Sarah Blades of CA.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 2 PM at Somerset Free Methodist Church.  Rev. Jim Evans will officiate.
