DANIEL G. "DANNY" LEWIS, 60, of Crisfield for the past three years and formerly of Snow Hill, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

Born in Powellville on March 5, 1949, he was raised in Willards, a son of the late Arthur G. Lewis who died in 1977, and Velma F. Shockley Truitt, who died in 2009.

A 1967 graduate of Pittsville High School, he was a former employee of the former Showell Farms. He was a US Army veteran, and an avid NASCAR and Philadelphia Eagles fan.

He is survived by three children, Doug and Travis Lewis Crisfield and Brittnay Lewis of Selbyville; three grandchildren, C.J., McKensie, and Kyle Lewis, all Crisfield; a brother, Bruce Lewis of Pittsville; an uncle, Bill Shockley of Powellville; a brother-in-law, Butch Pusey of Snow Hill; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Pusey in 2001.

A viewing will be Tuesday, March 31, 2009 from 7-9 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. A graveside service with Rev. Danny Bradford officiating will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 1 PM in New Hope Cemetery in Willards.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be sent to Lower Somerset County Ambulance and Rescue Squad, LSCARS, P.O. Box 406, Crisfield, MD 21817.
