Clyde Dwight "Unck" Kauffman, 84, of Crisfield, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home where he had been making his home for the past 10 years.

Born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania on March 22, 1930, he was a son of the late Clyde M. and Ada Myers Kauffman.

He attended Millersville State Teachers College and was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was an independent truck driver for Kenosha, transporting large yachts and sailboats cross country. He enjoyed fishing, and working in the crab shanty.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Kay Kauffman Dize of Crisfield; his nieces and nephews, Virginia Kauffman Gerhart and husband Karl of Lititz, PA, Michael G. Kauffman, Dorothy J. Kauffman, and William D. "Bill" Kaufmann, all of Crisfield, Russell A. "Andy" Kauffman of Marion, Douglas Kann and wife Lynn of East Petersburg, PA, and Jeffrey Kann of Conestoga, PA; seven great nephews, five great-nieces, two great-great-nieces, and several cousins.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William G. Kauffman; and two sisters, Dorothy Kauffman Hunt and Hazel L. Kann.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
