CHARLOTTE PRUITT MILLER, 75, of Crisfield and formerly of Onancock, died Monday, March 9, 2009 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born on Tangier Island, January 20, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Nelle Crockett Pruitt. She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, David W. Rice in 1969, and Thomas A. Miller in 1992.

A homemaker, she was a 1952 graduate of Onancock High School.

She is survived by four children, David H. Rice and his wife, Shirley, and Linda R. Adkins and her husband, Gene, all of Salisbury, and Walter K. Rice and Todd P. Miller and his wife, Mary, all of Crisfield; four grandchildren, William Rice, David Rice, Stan Adkins, and Nicholas Bradford; two sisters, Delores "Kippy" Marshall and her husband, George "Junie", of Crisfield and Priscilla Bromely of Georgia; two brothers, Alfred Pruitt and his wife, Janie, and Mark Pruitt, all of Onancock; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. The Rev. Terry Riggin will officiate. Interment will be in Fairview Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
