Charles G. "Eugie" Pruitt, 92, sailed away on Monday, January 20,, 2025 from his home in Crisfield.

Born in Crisfield on March 2, 1932, he was the son of the late Flora Jane Mason Pruitt and Charles G. "Friday" Pruitt.

He attended Crisfield High School.

Eugie served in the United States Navy for 20 years and then worked at Rubberset Corp for 20 years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Winnie Fay Pruitt, daughter, Connie Gerald, and son, Royce Pruitt (Michelle), all of Crisfield; grandchildren, David Swift, Matthew Gerald (Monica), Donald Gerald, Nicholas Gerald, Mandy Lankford (Jerry), Jeremy Pruitt (Rhonda), Jonathan Pruitt (Leanne), and Christopher Pruitt (Adriana); 20 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother Butch Sterling and many other family members.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 12 PM at Sunny Ridge Memorial Park, 27065 St. Peters Church Road, Crisfield, MD with the Rev. Bob Daniels officiating.

A time of fellowship will follow the service at the Crisfield Wesleyan Church located at 3067 Lawsonia Road in Crisfield.
