Obituary

Charles Franklin "Charles Frank" Bradshaw, 72, of Tangier Island, VA, died Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield, MD.

Born in Crisfield August 2, 1946 and raised on Tangier, he was the only child of Howard C. and Adele L. Dise Bradshaw.  His wife of 32 years, Betty Ann Shores Bradshaw, preceded him in death March 28, 2001.

He was a graduate of Tangier Combined School class of 1964.   He obtained Merchant Marine training and worked for Sun Oil as chief engineer.

A member of New Testament Church on Tangier Island, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, his dog "Toby", and most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He was also very generous to people in his community.

He is survived by his son, Charles H. Bradshaw and wife Debra of Tangier; his daughter, Cathleen Bradshaw Parks and husband Mickey of Crisfield; grandchildren, Betty Ann Bradshaw, Gavin Parks, James Dail Parks, Lonnie Sandlin, and Casey Parks; and great-grandsons, Jack and Brett Sandlin.  He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 2 PM at New Testament Church on Tangier.  A visitation and time of sharing will be one hour prior to the service.  Urn interment will follow in the New Testament Church Cemetery.
