Catherine Pruitt "KaKi" Bradshaw, 83, of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.
Born on Tangier Island November 13, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Clifton "Pic" and Rita Crockett Pruitt.
She was a homemaker and graduate of Tangier Combined School. She was a member of Swain Memorial United Methodist Church on Tangier during her childhood, Union United Methodist Church on Tylerton, Smith Island after her marriage, and Faith Fellowship Assembly of God after her move to Crisfield 22 years ago.
"KaKi" started singing in church with her father at a very young age and continued her ministry of music until the very end. She was a faithful member of the Smith Island Ladies Quartet, singing all over the shore and recorded numerous albums. She sang at countless funerals, weddings and church homecomings, and enjoyed playing guitar for the Nursing Home Ministry. Her gift of music was an effective ministry to the lost and countless others.
She is survived by her husband of almost 66 years, William Dallas Bradshaw of Crisfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Vivian Bradshaw and Mark and Diane Bradshaw, all of Crisfield; a brother and sister-in-law, Warren Ray and Diane Pruitt of Crisfield; sisters-in-law, Mary Pruitt and Kay Lane and husband Buddy, all of Crisfield; two granddaughters, Rachael and Noelle Bradshaw; two step-granddaughters, Melanie Bloodsworth and Patricia Joyner; step-great-grandchildren, Brett Bloodsworth, Alexys Shore, and Dustin Joyner and his wife Brandi and their daughter Maya; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jon David Bradshaw on June 8, 1991; two brothers, Stanley Pruitt and Charles Freddie Pruitt; a sister, Frances Marsh; a brother-in-law, Charlie Marsh; a grandson, Timothy Mark Bradshaw; and a step-great-granddaughter, Andrea Nichole Joyner.
Funeral services officiated by Pastors Jim Evans, Bob Daniels and Matthew Boldizsar will be held Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11 AM at Faith Fellowship Assembly of God in Crisfield. A viewing will be Wednesday evening from 7-9 at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
