Carolyn Joyce Lewis Eberle, of Crisfield, MD and formerly of Dundalk, MD, New Freedom, PA, West Ocean City, MD, and Fort Myers, FL, died peacefully at her home on Friday, July 18, 2025.

Born in Baltimore on December 13, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Junior Forest Lewis and Evelyn Ruth Bishoff Lewis. Her husband of 51 years, Elmer James Eberle, Sr., preceded her in death in 2011.

Carolyn was retired from the Baltimore County Public School System where she was an Elementary School Secretary and later worked as the Payroll Supervisor. After retirement, she and her husband, E. James, Sr., worked in the Real Estate Industry in Southern Pennsylvania for several years.

She was a member of Eastern Assembly of God in Dundalk, MD and First Assembly of God in Fort Myers, FL. She sang in a Trio with her two best friends praising Jesus Christ.

She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy every night, enjoyed making ceramic decorations, and she loved to eat steamed crabs. She adored dogs (especially her Shelties) and cats.

She is survived by her children, Jim Eberle, Jr., Melody Ann Blades, and Joseph Mark Eberle, Sr. and wife Robin; grandchildren, Jennifer Eberle, Kathryn Eberle, Justin Eberle, Chase Eberle, Tristan Eberle, Angela Marie Blades-Hood, Robert Floyd Malanowski, Stephanie Ann Malanowski, Thomas Charles Malanowski, Jonathan David Eberle, Matthew Nathan Eberle, and Joseph Mark Eberle, Jr.; son-in-law, Robert Malanowski; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah A. Malanowski; grandson, Randy Wayne Blades, Jr.; granddaughter, Judith Miriam Eberle; and son-in-law, Randy Wayne Blades, Sr.

Services will be private, and urn interment will be at a later date in New Freedom Cemetery in New Freedom, PA.
