Obituary

Carlton L. Windsor, 88, of Crisfield, passed away at Manokin Nursing and Rehab on Monday, November 27, 2023.

Born in Marion Station on June 6, 1935, he was a son of the late Robert and Tressie Elliott Windsor. His wife, Betty Keyser Windsor, preceded him in death on May 27, 1978.

Carlton was a graduate of the former Marion High School and worked as a Forester Contractor for the Chesapeake Corporation of Virginia and after retirement, he worked as a cattle farmer. He loved farming and raising cattle.

He was a member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church in Marion and was a life member of the Crisfield Elks Lodge #1044. He was an avid sports fan and owned, managed, and coached the team, Carlton Windsor Barbells in a men's softball league. He loved fishing and in his younger years he loved duck hunting.

He is survived by his children, Carlton L. Windsor, Jr./Rhonda of Delmar, Joseph Andrew Windsor/Brenda Burris Windsor of Marion, and Tammy Bradshaw/Charles of Crisfield; siblings, Earl Windsor/Anne of Hebron and Peggy Disney of Salisbury; grandchildren, Brittany Larmore, Tressie Windsor, Betty Windsor, Joseph Andrew Windsor, Jr./Donna, Shannon Brittingham/Chris, Colby Ward/Jeremy, and Brittany Kyle Harris/Bobby; great-grandchildren, Sloan Larmore, Katlyn Catlin, Dyllan Elijah Jones, Trace Brittingham, Audrey Brittingham, Camden Brittingham, Hailey Ward, Noah Ward, Charlie Estelle Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bob Windsor, Bill Windsor, Ann Boblaski, Tom Windsor, James Weldon Windsor, Roy Windsor, and Frances Talmo.

Funeral services at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 1 PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 6-8 PM. Rev. Jim Riley will officiate and interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Marion.

The family would like to thank all of the exceptional caregivers that cared for Carlton: Betty Windsor, Bonnie Ward, Courtney Diggs, Donna Smith, Melinda Dowden, Darla Holland, Matthew Gott, Dylan Townsend, Karis Reynolds, and Karen Goodman.
