Obituary

Brenda Lee Webster, 73, of Princess Anne, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 29, 2025 from Manokin Nursing and Rehab.

Born in Crisfield on May 27, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor Green Ward and Bert Alonza Ward.  Her husband, Edward David Webster, preceded her in death on January 31, 2025.

A graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1970, Brenda was a gifted chef and worked for many years in the food service industry including Aunt Em's, English's Diner, and later as a chef at PRMC in Salisbury.  For a number of years she was a clerk at Food Lion in Princess Anne.  She was a member of St. Paul's Church of Wenona and the Ladies Auxiliary of O.T. Beauchamp American Legion Post #94 in Princess Anne.

Brenda was a woman with a servant heart whose great joy in life was preparing food for others including the sick, local charity events, and funerals.  One of the highlights of her life was an annual Memorial Day barbecue in her backyard in coordination with her birthday.

Brenda was very close to her family and very much enjoyed spending time with each during annual family reunions.  She never missed a birthday greeting or anniversary phone call to each of her relatives and friends.

She is survived by an uncle, the Reverend Sterling Green (Nettie); and several cousins including Betsy McCready (Mike), Rob Maddox, Bobbie Graf (Jack), Vern Poyner (Dawna), Jonathan Green (Ariadne), and Rachel Stein (Marc); her brother-in-law, Terry Webster (Janie) and family; and her sister-in-law, Marilyn White (Perry David) and family.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Nancy Ward Taylor and Bert Alonza Ward, Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Gregory Leon Webster.

A memorial service will be Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11 AM at St. Paul's Church of Wenona with Pastor Dave Webster officiating.  Urn interment will be at a later date in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield where she will be laid to rest next to her Mother.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memorial may be made to St. Paul's Church of Wenona, P.O. Box 54, Deal Island, MD 21821.
