Brenda Joyce Lewis, 77, of Salisbury and formerly of Crisfield and Frenchtown, died Monday, December 11, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
Born in Crisfield September 20, 1940, she was a daughter of the late George and Edna Pruitt Elliott. Her husband, Harold Wesley Lewis preceded her in death on March 10, 1991.
She was a "social butterfly" who loved to have a good time and make people laugh. She loved animals and Elvis Presley. She loved everyone and most of all, enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Anna Marie Chelton and husband Terry of Fairmount, Harold W. Lewis, Jr. and wife Heather of Salisbury, Belinda Lee "Linda" Powell of Salisbury, and Tammy Lynn Powell and husband Jimmy of Marion Station; siblings, Sylvia Fay Lawrence and Phillip Elliott and wife Shirley all of Crisfield; sisters-in-law, Mary Frances "Snookie" Elliott of Salisbury, Ruth Belle Clayton of Parksley, Virginia, and Yvonne Lewis of Chincoteague, Virginia; grandchildren, T.J. Chelton, Heather Marie Michael, Taylor Lynn Lewis, Stacy Lynn Powell, James Franklin Powell, and Kristy Lynn Thomas; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, George Elliott, Jr., Danny Elliott, and Shirley Elliott; and a special nephew, Billy Lawrence.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Somerset County, P.O. Box 493, Princess Anne, MD 21853.
