BEVERLY DRYDEN RAYNE, 64, of Crisfield, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born in Crisfield January 8, 1947, she was a daughter of Isabell Chelton Dryden of Crisfield and the late Norris Robert "Shug" Dryden who died in 1985.
A 1965 graduate of Crisfield High School, she was a cosmetologist for more than 38 years. She was the owner and operator or Hair-Em South in Salisbury until a devastating fire in May of 2009. She continued to serve her clients at Laurie's Hair Design in Salisbury until her illness would no longer allow her to do so.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church, National Cosmetologist Association, Women of the Moose Salisbury Lodge #654, and the Crisfield Country Club. She loved gardening, working in her yard, cleaning, shopping and dancing. She adored her beloved pet dog "Pepper" and had a great love for all her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her mother, Isabell Chelton Dryden of Crisfield; her husband, Vic Rayne of Crisfield; her sister, Marlene Dryden Adkins of Crisfield; her brother, Willis H. Dryden, Sr. and wife Virginia of Crisfield; two step-sons, Vic Rayne and wife Crickett and their son, Michael, and Kevin J. Rayne, all of Salisbury; two brothers-in-law, Barry Rayne and wife Wanda and Steven Rayne, all of Salisbury; nephews, Willis H. Dryden, Jr. and wife Andrea and their children Mallory, Madison and Molly, of Marion and Bruce Chelton and wife, Terri, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a niece, Michelle Dryden and her children Nina Marie, Olivia, Shelby and Gavin, of Crisfield; a niece, Nina Kaye Adkins and her daughter Lauren, of Crisfield; and her best friend, Sandra Wells of Eden.
Funeral services officiated by The Rev.'s Philip Morris and Harvey Tyler will be Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. There will be no public viewing; however, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
