Obituary

BEVERLY WILSON GOSLEE, 62, of Sharptown and formerly of Marion Station, died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury following a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born November 11, 1947 in Laurel, Delaware, she was the daughter of Virginia Darby Wilson of Laurel and the late Harold Wilson.

A graduate of Laurel High School Class of 1965, she was an Accounting Associate-Facilites and Transportation at the Somerset County Board of Education Office in Westover. She had worked for the Somerset County School System for over 20 years, working first as secretary for Washington High School and then Marion Sarah Peyton School before her move to the Central Board Office.

She was a devoted member of Marion Baptist Church where she was pianist and choir director, and was also a member of the APA Pool League. Beverly loved music, gardening, going out to dinner, and NASCAR.

Along with her mother, Virginia Darby Wilson, she is survived by her husband of four years, Larry S. Goslee of Sharptown; two sons, Lucas J. Gordon of New York, NY and Andrew W. Gordon of Sharptown; three step-children, Jamie Goslee of Sharptown, Leslie McGinnity and her husband George of Hebron, and Sharon Bebee and her husband Danny of Sharptown; a brother, Lewis Wilson of Laurel; six step-grandchildren; and three nieces.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Gordon.

Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 11 AM at Marion Baptist Church. The Rev. Joseph Barnes will officiate. Interment will follow in Sharptown Firemen's Cemetery.
