Betty Inez Parks, 77, of Tangier Island, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at her home.
Born on April 9, 1935 in Washington DC, and raised in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late James A. and Lillian Inez Williams Bradshaw.
A homemaker, she devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed reading, watching and shopping on QVC, Dr. Pepper, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Milton C. Parks of Tangier; five children, Christy Parks Pruitt of Orange, VA, Milton E. "Mickey" Parks and wife Cathy of Crisfield, Elizabeth Inez Pruitt and husband Jerry of Tangier, James R. Parks and wife Wanda of Tangier, and Robert W. Parks and wife Jeanine of Amelia, VA; 11 grandchildren, Anna, Irene, James Dail, Lonnie Ann, Casey, Whitney, Paige, Nora, Payton, Presley and Gavin; three great-grandchildren, Samuel, Wesley, and Jaxson; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her baby daughter, Rose D. Parks; her sister, Evelyn Gail Levesque; and her brother, James A. Bradshaw, Jr.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11 AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. Grandson-in-law Jared Parks will officiate. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
