Betty Marshall Nelson, 92, of Crisfield, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Crisfield June 27, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Wells and Birdie Middleton Marshall.  Her husband, W. Thurston Nelson, died September 4, 1995.

A graduate of Crisfield High School, she was a retired secretary/bookkeeper working many years at the former Carol Dryden Company, Inc.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and boating and motorcycle riding with her late husband.  She loved life, family gatherings and cats.  She was a member of the Crisfield First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her brother, Bobby L. Marshall and wife Jean of Crisfield; nephews and nieces, Kenneth Marshall, Jr. and wife Iva of Crisfield, David Marshall and wife Christine of Bristow, VA, Dale Marshall of Crisfield, and Sherree Marshall of Crisfield; great nieces and nephews, Erin Cuff and husband Jeff of Crisfield, Heather Tyler and husband William of Rehobeth, Kenda Brumley and husband Jamie of Crisfield, and Mike Marshall, Sr. of Crisfield; and numerous great-great-nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Marshall; a sister, Lillian Marshall Holland; and two nephews, Steve Marshall and Dicky Marshall.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 2PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a visitation will be one hour prior.  Pastor Jack "Tad" Maroon will officiate.  Interment will follow in Crisfield Cemetery.
