Betty Rose Ferrell, 85, of Lindale, TX and formerly of Grand Saline, TX and Crisfield, MD, passed away on February 10, 2025.

Born in Crisfield on June 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Arlie and Edna Matthews Nelson.

Betty was a homemaker and worked at Foley's Department Store in her earlier years.

She is survived by three sons, Bruce Ferrell and wife Laurie of Flint, TX, Glenn Ferrell and wife Athena of Lindale, TX, and David Ferrell and wife Jackie of Tyler, TX; seven grandchildren, Jamie Bailey of Coppell, TX, Clay Ferrell of San Benito, TX, Chris Ferrell of Tyler, TX, Jake Ferrell of College Station, TX, Zane Ferrell of Lindale, TX, Jason Ferrell of Athens, TX, and Carter Ferrell of Addison, TX; two great-grandchildren, Caine Ferrell of Athens, TX and Claire Bailey of Coppell, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Arlie Lewis Nelson (the late Jo Nelson), Benny Nelson (the late Donna Nelson), and John William Nelson.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1 PM at Asbury Cemetery in Crisfield.
