Obituary

Betty Lee Balderson, 92, of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Crisfield on December 9, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Calvin Jack Jones and Estelle Marie Lee Jones.

She was a homemaker and former co-owner of Circle Inn Restaurant.  She also was a caregiver for the elderly.

Betty was a 54 year member of the Crisfield Church of God. There, she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, was Lay Speaker, and was active in and served as former president of the Women's Ministries.  She was a "Prayer Warrior".

She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved taking care of her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, and jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, J. William "Bill" Balderson; three children, Terrie Crockett and husband David of Crisfield, Billy Balderson and wife Christa of Wilmington, DE, and Jamie Balderson and wife Terri of Crisfield; six grandchildren, Amy Lee Martini (Rick), Roni Lynn Cox (Cranston), DJ Crockett (Amber), Jay Balderson (Danielle), MaryKate Balderson, and Grace Balderson; nine great-grandchildren, Autumn Smith, A1C Frankie Panzo USAF, Domenic Panzo, Savannah Bozman, Cambree Cox, Owen Balderson, Daniel Balderson, Allaiah Pilkerton, and Jason Evans, Jr.; her caregiver of several years, Liz Warfield of Crisfield; her beloved Chihuahua, "Rosie"; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Calvin, Bernie, and Tommy Jones, Daisey Johnson, Alice "Kitty" Crockett, and Barbara Warfield.

Funeral services officiated by Bishop Billy Balderson, the Rev. Michael Vaughan, and the Rev. W.C. Vaughan will be Friday, October 6, 2023 at 2 PM at the Crisfield Church of God where a viewing will be one hour prior.  Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
