BERNICE DULANEY DAUGHERTY, 103, of Crisfield, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Manokin Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Princess Anne, where she had been a resident for the past seven years.

Born in Crisfield on February 16, 1905, she was a daughter of the late Thomas S. and Mary Moore Daugherty.

She was the secretary for 25 years of the former Daugherty & Ward Grocery and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she was Sunday School Teacher, Youth Counselor, sang in the Sanctuary Choir, and was active in the United Methodist Women.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service and interment will be held Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 2 PM at Asbury Cemetery in Crisfield. The Rev. Jeffrey James will officiate. Friends may call Saturday from 12-1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield.
