Obituary

BENJAMIN SEWARD "JAMIE" EVANS, IV, 50, of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

Born in Pompano Beach, Florida on March 3, 1961, he was a son of the late Benjamin Seward Evans, III and Julia Landon Evans who died December 25, 2010.

He was a grant writer for the Crisfield Housing Authority.

He was a charter member of Living Hope Ministries in Crisfield where he was active in the Praise and Worship Team. He was a member of Men on A Mission, the V-Pack Volunteer Program and he also enjoyed ministering to people on a daily basis. Jamie was a very talented person who excelled in music, photography and art. He had a heart of compassion, he never held a grudge, and he always wanted to do the right thing.

He is survived his wife, Deborah Evans; six siblings, Richard Evans and wife Deb of Ohio, Cheryl Shores and husband John of Salisbury, Terri Hughes and husband Carl of Cambridge, Tina Maria Evans of Crisfield, Lloyd Evans of McConnellsburg, PA, and Steve Evans of Crisfield; his nieces and nephews, Ronnie Adams, US Army Stationed in Afghanistan, Natasha Waldon and Lauren Shores, both of Columbia, MD, Krista Warfield of Salisbury, Coleen Aaron of Cambridge, and Harrison Ball, Joshua Pryor, Stanley Brown, Jr., and Daniel Pryor, all of Crisfield; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 PM at Living Hope Ministries in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. Rev. LeBron Palmer will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are requested to be sent to The Jamie Evans Ministry, a benevolence ministry of Living Hope Ministries, P.O. 521, Crisfield, MD 21817.
