Barry Steven Arndt, 73, of Marion, passed away quietly at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Born in Crisfield on March 20, 1947, he was a son of the late Caroline "Louise" Arndt Tyler and Arno Richard Arndt.

Barry served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967-1970.  He served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart as well as the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Silver Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal and Rifle Expert Badge M-1.

He was retired from the US Postal Service Rt. 50 Salisbury Post Office.

Barry was the loving husband of his wife of 52 years, Catherine Cox Arndt. The Arndt's have one son, Christopher Steven Arndt and two grandchildren, Autumn "Nicole" and Christopher Steven, Jr. who were the light of his life.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 2 PM at St. Paul's Cemetery in Marion.  His nephew, Rev. William Jarrod Cox will officiate.
