Anne Tilghman Berch Muller, 77, of Hunt Valley and formerly of Crisfield, died on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at Gilcrest Hospice Center in Towson, MD.

Raised in Crisfield, she was the daughter of the late Simmons Peter and Emily Anne Lawson Tilghman.

She attended Crisfield High School and later graduated from St. Mary's Seminary Junior College. She furthered her education at the University of Maryland College Park where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education.

She taught for several years, and was Department Manager at the former Hutzler's Department Store. She worked at Snelling and Snelling Employment Agency, and later at Johns Hopkins University where she worked 30 years until she retired as Director of Human Resources.

She enjoyed volunteering at the Senior Center in Cockeysville, and playing bridge and Mahjong with friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Julia D. Berch of Hunt Valley.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, William D. Muller.

Friends may call Friday, October 29, 2010 from 1-2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. A procession to the graveside service at Sunnyridge Memorial Park will follow. Mr. Kim Lawson will officiate.
