ANNA C. WARD, 94, of Crisfield, died Friday, October 12, 2007 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.
Born on Rhodes Point, Smith Island, on December 10, 1912, she was a daughter of the late James and Amanda Evans Sneade. Her husband, M. Ewing Ward, died June 21, 1978.
A retired employee of several former garment factories, she was a faithful member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield. There, she was active in Circle #1, United Methodist Women, and the Wharton-Pollyanna Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her son, James M. "Jimmy" Ward of Crisfield; nieces, Lois and Wanda Marie; nephews, Will and Hubert; and several cousins.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Evans and Adelaide Middleton; one brother, Wilson Sneade; and one nephew, Frankie Tyler.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 14, 2007 at 2 PM at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield where friends may call one half hour prior. The Rev. Bill Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
