Obituary
Angeline Ward Townsend, 93, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.
Born in Crisfield, December 11, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Mollie Cook
Ward. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John "Jack" Townsend; and three brothers, John, Walton and Rudy Ward.
Angie graduated from Crisfield High School, Class of 1940. She worked for
W.E. Ward Seafood Company before moving to Salisbury in 1971, and was employed with Salisbury Steel Co. until her retirement in 1986.
She was a member of St. John's Church in Fruitland, the United Methodist Women,
The Happy Timers of Salisbury, and the Crisfield Chapter of AARP.
She is survived by three sons, Dicky and his wife Joan, Johnny, and Kenny and his wife Debbie; brothers, Kenny, John (Ped), and Jerry and his wife Fran; sisters, Eleanor Anne Nelson, and Joy Price and her husband Don; five grandchildren, Michelle, Mark, John John, Jennifer, and Bianca; 11 great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at St. John's Church in Fruitland, MD on Saturday February 4, 2017 at 11AM.
