Andrea Nichole Joyner, 15, of Crisfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 27, 2015 following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born September 15, 1999, she was the daughter of Rommel "R.J." Joyner, Jr. and Patricia Anne Lankford Joyner of Crisfield.
Andrea was a sophomore at Crisfield Academy and High School where she was involved in Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD). She was a bright student and was recently nominated for the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence and had planned to attend the awards ceremony in Boston this coming June.
A member of Living Hope Ministries of the Eastern Shore, she was active in the Firewall Youth Group and Drama Team. She had a strong faith and was devoted to serving the Lord.
Andrea enjoyed helping people in any way possible, traveling with her grandparents, drawing, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her father, Rommel "R.J." Joyner, Jr. and his wife Leeann of Crisfield; her mother, Patricia Anne Lankford Joyner of Crisfield; her grandparents, Vivian and Jim Bradshaw and Rommel, Sr. and Linda Joyner, all of Crisfield; her brother, Dustin Joyner and wife Brandi of Crisfield; a niece, Maya Lynn Joyner of Crisfield; her special aunt, Melanie Bloodsworth and fiancé Rob Shore of Marion; aunt and uncle, Angela and Tony Stuebe of Crisfield; her boyfriend, Esteban Trejo of Marion; several great-aunts and great-uncles; numerous cousins; and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Lankford, Jr.; her aunt, Rachel Lynn Joyner; and her twin niece and nephew, Laya Mae and Braydon James Joyner.
Funeral services officiated by Pastors LeBron Palmer and David Evans will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 2 PM at Crisfield High School. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-9 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
