Amanda Yadira Schmidt Hernandez, 32, of Crisfield, died Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the home of her sister in Cumberland, MD following a brave battle with cancer.

Born June 21, 1988, she was the daughter of Armando Hernandez of Crisfield and the late Renee Schmidt Hernandez who died November 1, 2006.

A graduate of Crisfield High School class of 2006, she most recently worked in the cafeteria at University of MD Eastern Shore in Princess Anne.  She loved animals and spending time with her family.  She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Westover.

She is survived by her father, Armando Hernandez of Crisfield; her sisters and brothers, Rosa Hernandez and her partner Arturo Garcia of Crisfield, Alberto Hernandez and his partner Jenna Warfield of Crisfield, Angelica Hernandez and her fiancé Sawyer Llewellyn of Cumberland, Britney Hernandez of Crisfield and Diego Hernandez of Crisfield; nieces and nephews, Jayden Garcia, Emersyn Llewellyn, Stella Hernandez, and Sawyer Llewellyn, Jr.; her grandparents, Paula Schmidt of Westover and Buenaventura Hernandez and Esther Hernandez, both of Mexico; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Renee Schmidt Hernandez; and her grandfather, Myron Schmidt, Sr.

A viewing will be held at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 1-3PM.
