Obituary

Alice Faye "Kitty" Crockett, 68, of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury surrounded by her family.

Born in Crisfield March 14, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Estelle Jones. She was a seamstress at the former Crisfield Cap Factory and was also a GNA at McCready Hospital.

Kitty loved the Lord, and was a faithful servant. She was a charter member of Living Hope Ministries Church in Crisfield and was a member of the Crisfield Church of God for many years, where she enjoyed singing and taught Sunday School.

Kitty was an avid knitter, making afghan blankets for anyone who asked and was an animal lover who would take in all kinds of animals. Kitty also had a love for people; she never knew a stranger and had the ability to make anyone feel welcome. Most of all, Kitty loved her family. She was extremely devoted to her children and grandchildren, and was excited that her first great-grandchild was on the way.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Terry C. Crockett of Crisfield; two sons, Terry C. Crockett, Jr. and wife Christine and Aaron Sterling, all of Westover; a sister, Betty Balderson and husband Bill of Crisfield; a brother, Tommy Jones and wife Nellie of Crisfield; four grandchildren, Amber Crockett, Seth Crockett, Randy Crockett, and Marissa Donoway; and a host of nieces and nephews that were very special to her.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tony Ray Crockett on April 21, 2010; and four brothers and sisters, Calvin "Bud" Jones, Bernie Jones, Barbara Warfield and Daisy Johnson.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 2 PM at the Crisfield Church of God where the family will receive friends one hour prior. Pastor Lebron Palmer will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations to help the family with expenses may be sent to Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home, 306 W. Main Street, Crisfield, MD 21817.
