Alfreda Marie Lehmann Garpstas, 91, of Crisfield, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at her home.

Born in Baltimore on December 24, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Max Karl Lehmann and Elizabeth Gaide Lehmann.  Her husband, Joseph J. Garpstas, preceded her in death on August 28, 2014.

A homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her family and playing BINGO.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Garpstas of Crisfield; her grandson, Brian Garpstas of Crisfield; Carlene Wells, who was like a granddaughter to her, of Marion; three great-granddaughters, Ashley Garpstas and fiance Brian Cullen, Amber Fernau and husband Alex, and Emily Garpstas; great-great-grandchildren, Anabelle Garpstas, Kathryn Cullen, Adam Fernau, and Abigail Fernau; brother-in-law, Donald Braithwaite of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Hose; her son, Dougie Garpstas; her brother, George Lehmann; her sister, Margaret Siegle; and her great-great-granddaughter, Emma Jean Cullen.

There are no services planned at this time.
