Addie Rae Tyler Thomas

Addie Rae Tyler Thomas, 94, of Elkton, MD, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Elkton Nursing and Rehab Center. 

Born in Crisfield on August 16, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Clifton J. and Virginia Walker Tyler. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her sister, Doris Garmize; a grandson, Paul Thomas; and a nephew, Danny Garmize. 

She is survived by three sons, David James Thomas and wife Susan of North East, MD, David R. Thomas, Jr. of Greensboro, NC, and Bruce Arthur Thomas of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Clifton James Thomas and wife Angela; great-grandchildren, Clifton James Thomas, Jr., Michael Thomas, Isabella Thomas and Zoey Thomas; and a nephew, Stephen Garmize of Columbia, MD. 

A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Addie Rae was a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed crocheting and playing Bridge in which she was awarded the esteemed rank of Life Master. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to your local Rotary Club. 

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a visitation will be one hour prior. Urn interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
