A. Paul Custis, 69, of Marion Station, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield.
Born in Salisbury November 3, 1949, he was a son of the late George Lee Custis, Jr. and Ruth Virginia Brittingham Custis.
He was a graduate of Marion High School class of 1967 and studied computer programming at a Tech School in Baltimore. He was a marine construction supervisor for George L. Custis and Sons and later George and Lynch, Inc.
He was a life member and past chief of Marion Fire Department, member of the Sons of American Legion Post #16, member of Crisfield Elks Lodge #1044, and member of Great Hope Golf Course.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Custis (Jason Cullen) of Marion; grandchildren, Autumn Custis and Michael Krauss; siblings, Ruthie Dyson (Earl) of Marion, Lynn Haney (Phil) of Charlottesville, VA, Lee Custis (Beverly) of Rehobeth, MD, Rachel Custis of Crisfield, J. T. Custis (Penny) of Westover, and Chris Custis (Rebecca) of Princess Anne; a "special son and daughter", Ray and Cindy Somers of Marion; step-children, John Baker and Michelle Dize (William); five step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to attend a memorial service officiated by Pastor David Parke on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11 AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. A gathering immediately following the service will be at the Crisfield American Legion Post #16.
