Charles Leon Reid, 88, of Crisfield, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.
Born in Girdletree, he was a son of the late Harry and Onie Taylor Reid. He delivered groceries and was a meat cutter at the former Goldsborough’s Grocery in Crisfield and was a seafood worker at N.R. Dryden Seafood.
He attended the Crisfield Church of God and the First Baptist Church. He was also in the National Guard. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and listening to country music.
He is survived by his niece and caregiver, Vivian Bradshaw and husband Jim of Crisfield; a sister, Catherine Potter of Baltimore; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Harry, Jr. and Norman Reid, Walter, Clifton, Clinton, Thomas and Hilda Hurley, Vivian Hurley Wells, Gertrude Sinclair, and Bernice Sturgis.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
